Protection against woodworm even in unheated rooms
As is known from the technical literature,
woodworm larvae can only become active
from a certain humidity.
As the temperature falls, the humidity increases,
both in the air and in the wood.
Cool and unheated rooms are therefore in greater danger.
Humidity is particularly risky in rooms with any of these features:
- differences in temperatures, temporally or spatially
- sporadically heated and/or rooms in contact with the ground
- building fabric not recognisable / mixed / historic
- rapid weather changes (humidity and temperature) are a danger
- valuable building substance and / or inventory must be protected
- und so weiter.
Backgrounds
Both the building user and the professional face the problem:
- The humidity changes with the temperature
- The limit value of the risk moisture is variable, spatially and temporally
- Temperature differences, spatial or temporal, are a danger
- When and how often is the moisture threshold exceeded and woodworm can become active?
- If only a little wood is eaten away every year, then after 10-20 years there will be major damage.
- The risk is variable and not detectable by usual means
The solution:
Always dehumidifying and keeping dry as needed
is an important protection against woodworm!
- Automatic control and regulation of humidity
- A technology with a system and with competence in moisture physics
- A concept with consideration of the risky spots
An enwilec humidity controller knows the requirements and can regulate the humidity appropriately.
Features (depending on equipment):
- Automatic control of humidity.
- Safe dehumidification and keeping dry.
- Making visible an invisible danger.
- Coupling of several dehumidification techniques / stages.
- For sure: Always enough, never too much.
Applications also for special requirements in:
- Sporadically heated buildings or buildings in contact with the ground
- Historic buildings
- Churches and other places of worship
- Buildings with increased requirements for the protection of the building fabric and inventory
- Curtain-type, rear-ventilated façades
- Cellars
- Winter garden
- Sports halls
- Club homes
- and similar buildings where temperatures are not uniform spatially or temporally
